Registration for companies and organizations
Registration of .ie domains is possible for Irish and foreign companies/organizations. Each application is assessed by the .ie registry and may be rejected.
Each company outside Ireland must prove that it is selling goods or services on a regular basis to businesses or consumers in Ireland. You can do it by sending copies of your commercial invoices issued for a company in Ireland, commercial brochures, or bank or tax letters proving that you are trading with the business in Ireland. If you own a trademark that is consistent with the registered domain name, which is valid in Ireland (also a community trademark), such proof is not required.

Registration for individuals
.ie domain registration for individuals is only available to Irish citizens and permanent residents. You need to provide proof of residence, an Irish passport, or a driving license. Individuals from countries other than Ireland cannot register .ie domains.

Please note that the .ie registry prohibits the resale of .ie domains unless it is related to the sale of the entire business. Attempts to offer .ie domain names for sale may result in the removal of the name by the registry.
