The .iq domain is the country-code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Iraq. Registration is currently only possible for entities that hold a registered trademark valid in Iraq. The trademark holder may be either an Iraqi-based company or a foreign entity.

Foreign applicants must appoint a local agent or representative in Iraq who will be officially authorized to register the domain on their behalf. If an applicant does not have a local representative, a paid trustee service is available to facilitate the process—however, a valid trademark remains a strict requirement.
