.swiss domain information
Registration of .SWISS domains is available exclusively to companies and organizations registered in Switzerland. Each registration must be accompanied by a statement from the registrant regarding the intended use of the domain and rights to the name, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the registry and Swiss law.
Registration of .SWISS domains is not available to companies outside Switzerland, including Swiss branches of foreign companies.
Why should I register a .swiss domain name?
Switzerland may not be easy to define as a region, because four distinctive cultures reside in the Swiss Confederation, but the 26 different states share an identity rooted in community. .SWISS is meant to help strengthen the Swiss community by offering a virtual hub for the people of Switzerland to communicate, share ideas, and trade commerce. SWISS offers a community domain namespace for Switzerland, so this gTLD is meant for any person, group, or company that calls Switzerland home.
